Scientific Experience

My scientific experience spans undergraduate research, graduate-level training, and applied industry projects. At American University, I completed extensive coursework in neuroscience, molecular biology, chemistry, microbiology, genetics, and quantitative analysis, alongside four years of research in the Psychopharmacology Laboratory. My work included running controlled behavioral experiments, maintaining detailed lab records, performing data collection and analysis, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications, including a first-author paper. These experiences built a strong foundation in experimental design, scientific writing, analytical rigor, and laboratory documentation.

At NC State, I continue to expand my technical and scientific skillset through the Master of Microbial Biotechnology program. My coursework and lab-based training cover microbial physiology, bioprocess development, upstream and downstream biomanufacturing, assay development, and foundational biotechnology techniques. I apply these skills in industry-facing projects, including diagnostic method development, biological variance analysis, and biomarker data mapping for regulatory alignment. Together, these experiences reflect a broad and growing scientific background supported by hands-on research, clear documentation practices, and interdisciplinary problem solving.
